There's something pretty special about working with a business owner who knows exactly who they are. When the team at Sabores Mobile Bar reached out to One Wild Brand, I knew almost immediately that this was a project I wanted to get my hands on. Their love for color, creativity, and unforgettable experiences made this mobile bar website design project one I couldn't wait to dive into.
And let me tell you, this was a fun one.
Sabores isn't your average mobile bartending company. They're all about creating memorable experiences, serving up seriously creative cocktails, and making sure every guest feels taken care of. Naturally, their website needed to deliver that same energy before anyone even took their first sip.
So, how do you take an already vibrant brand and turn it into a website that's equal parts playful, professional, and strategic? Let's get into it.
First Things First: Getting to Know Sabores Mobile Bar
Before we talk about fonts, colors, or all the fun little design details, we need to talk about the business itself. Because here's the thing about website design: a beautiful website is great, but a beautiful website that actually represents the business behind it? Even better.
Sabores Mobile Bar is a mobile bartending business that brings creativity, hospitality, and a personalized touch to celebrations of all kinds. From weddings and birthday parties to bridal showers, quinceañeras, and corporate events, their team knows how to make an occasion feel extra special.
But what really stood out to me wasn't just their beautiful cocktails or mobile bar setups. It was their genuine emphasis on hospitality and the care they put into every single detail.
We're talking about a business that thinks beyond simply showing up and serving drinks. They care about the overall experience, the atmosphere, the presentation, and making sure their clients can actually enjoy the events they've worked so hard to plan.
And THAT was something I wanted visitors to understand the moment they landed on the website.
A Business With Personality? Sign Me Up.
One of my favorite things about working with small businesses is getting to know the people behind them. And when I connected with Rosanty, the owner of Sabores, her personality and enthusiasm were immediately apparent.
She loves color, she's creative, and she genuinely cares about the people she works with. She also has a clear vision for the experiences she wants to create for her clients.
For a website designer who loves bringing personality into brands, this was pretty much music to my ears.
I knew we weren't going to create a website that looked like every other mobile bartending company on the internet. Instead, we had an opportunity to create something that felt unmistakably Sabores.
Starting With a Color Palette That Already Had Personality
Let's talk about one of my favorite parts of this project: THE COLORS.
So often, when I'm working with clients, part of the process involves helping them discover their visual identity. We explore color combinations, typography, and design directions that will communicate the personality of their business.
However, Sabores came to the table with something pretty wonderful already in place: an amazing color palette.
Rosanty wasn't afraid of color, and I absolutely loved that. Rather than reinventing what was already working, I wanted to embrace those existing colors and find ways to make them shine throughout the website.
Of course, using bold colors requires a little strategy. When everything is colorful, it's easy for a design to start feeling overwhelming or visually chaotic.
That's where thoughtful website design comes into play.
Balancing Bold Colors With a Professional Design
For Sabores, I wanted the website to feel vibrant and energetic without sacrificing the polished, professional appearance that builds trust with potential clients.
To accomplish that, we paired their bright brand colors with editorial-inspired typography. The contrast between the playful colors and more refined fonts helped create a visual balance that felt intentional.
We also made sure the layout gave the content room to breathe. Not every section needed a bright background or an eye-catching graphic competing for attention.
Instead, we used color strategically to guide visitors through the website, highlight important information, and create moments of visual interest.
The result was a website that feels fun and full of life while still communicating that Sabores is a professional business that takes its work seriously.
Because, yes, you can absolutely have a colorful website and still look like the expert you are.
Creating a Brand Pattern That Was Anything but Boring
Once we had the overall visual direction established, I knew I wanted to incorporate something else into the Sabores website: a playful brand pattern.
I love incorporating little design details that make a website feel more recognizable and memorable. Sometimes those details are subtle, while other times they become a defining part of the overall brand experience.
For Sabores, a collection of hand-drawn-inspired illustrations felt like the perfect fit.
We developed a series of playful icons inspired by the world of mobile bartending. One of my favorites was a cocktail shaker illustration, which brought another layer of personality to the design.
These illustrations weren't meant to be overly polished or corporate. Instead, they had a charming, slightly imperfect quality that complemented the vibrant colors and approachable personality of the brand.
Why Brand Patterns Are Such a Great Design Tool
A brand pattern might seem like a small detail, but it can actually do quite a bit of heavy lifting.
For starters, it helps create consistency throughout a website. Rather than relying exclusively on photographs and blocks of text, we can introduce illustrated elements that tie different sections together.
Additionally, a recognizable pattern gives a business more visual assets to use beyond its website. Those same design elements can carry over into social media graphics, printed materials, event signage, and other branded pieces.
Most importantly, patterns can make a brand feel more distinctive.
For Sabores, the illustrations added another playful layer without taking attention away from the beautiful photography or important information.
And I love when a design element can be both functional and ridiculously cute.
Bringing Their Actual Bars Into the Branding
Now, here's where we had a little extra fun.
Sabores offers both a mobile bar and a stationary bar setup. Rather than relying on generic cocktail graphics to represent those services, I wanted to bring the actual bars into the visual branding.
After all, these aren't just random pieces of equipment. They're part of the experience Sabores creates for its clients.
We incorporated illustrations inspired by their real mobile bar and stationary bar, along with some adorable cartoon-style versions of each.
These little illustrations gave us another way to showcase their services while keeping the website playful and cohesive.
Making Website Graphics Feel Personal
One thing I always encourage business owners to think about is how they can make their website feel less generic.
For example, if you own a mobile bar business, you could fill your website with stock photos of cocktails and call it a day. And while beautiful cocktail photography certainly has its place, it doesn't necessarily tell visitors what makes YOUR business different.
By incorporating illustrations of Sabores' actual bars, we were able to create graphics that felt specific to their company.
Furthermore, these illustrations help potential clients visualize the different setups available for their events. They aren't just decorative elements; they support the information we're communicating throughout the website.
It's a small example of how creative design and website strategy can work together.
And personally, I think those little cartoon bars deserve their own round of applause.
Using Photography to Let the Cocktails Do the Talking
Here's something that made my job a whole lot easier: Sabores already had some seriously beautiful photography.
And when you're designing a website for a business that creates colorful, creative cocktails, those photos are GOLD.
Their drinks aren't just beverages. They're part of the presentation, the experience, and the overall atmosphere of an event.
From colorful garnishes to creative cocktail combinations, there was so much visual inspiration to work with.
Naturally, I wanted to make those images a major part of the website.
Why Real Photography Matters for Service-Based Businesses
I talk about this all the time, but I'll say it again: your own photography is one of the most valuable assets you can bring to your website.
Sure, stock photography has its place. However, when you have beautiful images of your actual work, your team, and the experiences you create, you're giving potential clients something much more meaningful.
You're showing them what they can expect when they hire you.
For Sabores, the photography helped communicate the quality and creativity behind their cocktail menus. It also gave the website an authentic, lively feel that perfectly complemented the brand colors.
Rather than trying to fill every available space with graphics, we allowed the photography to become a focal point throughout the design.
Because sometimes the best design decision is knowing when to let the work speak for itself.
Website Copy That Goes Beyond "We Serve Drinks"
Now, let's get into something that I think deserves a whole lot more attention in website design: the words.
It's easy to get caught up in the visual side of building a website. After all, colors, fonts, and illustrations are the fun stuff.
But even the most beautiful website can fall flat if the copy doesn't communicate what makes a business special.
And for Sabores, there was so much more to communicate than simply offering bartending services.
Selling the Experience, Not Just the Service
Think about why someone hires a mobile bartending company for their wedding, birthday party, or quinceañera.
Of course, they want delicious drinks. They also want a beautiful setup, professional service, and someone who can help make their event feel memorable.
But more than anything, they want to feel confident that the details are being handled.
They don't want to spend their entire event worrying about whether guests have drinks, whether the bar looks presentable, or whether everything is running smoothly.
They want to enjoy themselves.
And that's where Sabores' commitment to hospitality becomes such an important part of their messaging.
Throughout the website, we wanted to emphasize the thoughtfulness and attention to detail that goes into their events.
We also wanted visitors to understand that Sabores offers a personalized experience. Their creative cocktail menus and thoughtful approach to service allow them to help bring each client's vision to life.
Whether someone is planning an elegant wedding or a colorful birthday celebration, the goal is to create an experience that feels special to them.
That is the story the website needed to tell.
Helping Visitors Picture Their Own Event
Another important part of the website strategy was making it easy for visitors to imagine Sabores at their own celebrations.
Someone planning a wedding may have very different priorities than someone organizing a birthday party. However, both want to know they're working with a business that understands their needs.
By highlighting the variety of events Sabores serves, we could help different audiences recognize that the company was a great fit for their occasion.
Additionally, showcasing their creative cocktail offerings helped communicate that the experience could be personalized.
Rather than focusing exclusively on what Sabores does, the website needed to help visitors understand what working with Sabores could feel like.
And that shift in messaging can make a big difference.
Creating a Website That Feels as Welcoming as the Business Itself
One thing I kept coming back to throughout this project was the importance of hospitality.
Hospitality is such a big part of the Sabores brand. It's not simply about pouring a cocktail and moving on to the next guest.
It's about making people feel welcomed, cared for, and excited to be part of the celebration.
I wanted that same feeling to carry through the website.
Of course, a website can't physically greet someone with a smile or hand them a beautifully garnished cocktail. But it absolutely can create an inviting first impression.
We approached the design with that experience in mind.
The bright colors create energy, while the playful illustrations make the brand feel approachable. Meanwhile, the photography showcases the beautiful work Sabores does, and the messaging communicates the care behind every event.
Together, those elements help tell a much bigger story.
A Beautiful Website Is Only Part of the Equation
I say this often at One Wild Brand, but website design isn't just about making something look pretty.
It's about creating a digital experience that helps people understand your business, connect with your brand, and feel confident taking the next step.
For Sabores, that meant balancing creativity with clarity.
We wanted visitors to enjoy exploring the website, but we also wanted them to understand the services available and know how to inquire about their own events.
Because at the end of the day, a website should be doing more than collecting compliments.
It should be working for your business.
The Final Result: A Website That's Unmistakably Sabores
Looking back at this project, I think what I love most is how much of the owner's personality comes through in the finished design.
From the very first conversation, I could tell that Rosanty had a clear passion for what she was building. She loves color, creativity, and making people feel special.
And rather than trying to tone any of that down, we leaned right into it.
We embraced the existing color palette, incorporated playful brand illustrations, and made their beautiful cocktail photography a central part of the design.
We also gave plenty of attention to the messaging, making sure the website communicated the hospitality, creativity, and care that go into every Sabores event.
The result is a website that feels vibrant, polished, welcoming, and full of personality.
Most importantly, it feels like the business behind it.

What Other Service-Based Businesses Can Learn From This Website Design
While Sabores happens to be a mobile bartending company, the strategy behind this website applies to so many other service-based businesses.
Whether you're a wedding planner, photographer, virtual assistant, dental consultant, or creative entrepreneur, your website should communicate more than a list of services.
It should help potential clients understand who you are, what makes your business different, and why they should want to work with you.
And no, that doesn't mean every business needs bright colors and cartoon illustrations.
For Sabores, those elements made sense because they reflected the personality of the business. For another brand, the right approach might involve soft neutrals, minimalist layouts, or more refined visual elements.
The goal isn't to follow a particular design trend. It's to create a website that feels authentic to your business.
That's why I love starting every website project by learning about the people behind the company.
The colors and fonts come later. First, I want to understand what makes the business tick, who it serves, and what its customers should feel when they interact with the brand.
Because those are the details that turn a pretty website into a thoughtful one.
Ready for a Website That Actually Feels Like Your Business?
If you've made it this far, you've probably figured out that I get pretty excited about bringing personality into websites.
At One Wild Brand, I work with service-based businesses that are ready for a website that feels more aligned with who they are and where they're headed.
Maybe you've outgrown your DIY website. Maybe your business has evolved, but your online presence hasn't quite caught up. Or maybe you're just tired of looking at a website that could belong to approximately 47 other businesses.
Whatever the case, I'd love to hear what you're working on.
Because your website doesn't need to look like everyone else's to be professional. And it certainly doesn't need to be boring to be strategic.
Let's create something that feels like YOU.
